KAILASH GIRI

City view in the evening from Kailash Giri.

Restaurant at Kailas Giri.

Shiv Parvati Pratima at Kailash Giri.
As the name itself indicates, something about shiv ji related wit hill. Kailsah giri is a tourist spot on the top of the Kailasa hill beside the Bay of Bengal, its completely modified to a pretty park with ornamental herbs, shrubs and trees. for kids its good place of entertainment as it has got a toy train running all through the hill, even adults are allowed to take a splendid ride of the train. To climb the hill one can use road, stairs or the Rope way trolley. If one chooses to use the Trolley to reach the hill top, you get to hear announcement played inside each trolley, its played in four languages, i.e HINDI, ENGLISH, TELUGU & BENGALI.

From the hill top one can get a complete view of Vizag on one side and the calm blue sea on the other side with Coast guard ships patrolling the Economic zone of INDIA.

I had been to Vizag this month and visited Kailashgiri park here. I took the stairs and reached the place. It was really wonderful experience to worship my beloved God Shivji and Parvatiji. The view from top of Kailashgiri is amazing. Blue sea, entire Vizag can be viewed from here. But I wonder how many steps I climbed to reach the place, I mean I would like to know the number of steps needed to climb to reach this place. In case any one know how many steps are there please let me know.
